Uniaxial Tiltmeter
The TUFF TILT 801 is a uniaxial tiltmeter that uses a gravity-referenced electrolytic tilt transducer for precise, long-term-stable angle measurement. It is used for structural load testing, monitoring of walls and foundations, and surveillance of bridges, dams and other structures.

Overview
In detail
How it works
The TUFF TILT 801 uses a gravity-referenced electrolytic tilt transducer as its internal sensing element, giving precise and stable angle output across three model variants: the high-gain 801-H (±0.5°), standard 801-S (±3°), and wide-angle 801-W (±50°). Each model provides both single-ended and differential analogue tilt outputs, plus a temperature output from an internal sensor.
Deployment
Housed in a NEMA 4X (IP-65) rated die-cast aluminium enclosure, the tiltmeter is rated for outdoor and other wet or harsh environments, though it is not submersible. Typical applications include structural load testing, monitoring of walls and foundation movement, surveillance of bridges and dams, and machine positioning and control.
What's included
Each unit ships with a 3 m, 6-conductor cable with an overall shield and PVC jacket, terminated in tinned ends, ready for connection to a readout or data acquisition system.
