RXTX Remote Reading Pendulum Station
The RxTx Telependulum is a precise optoelectronic instrument that measures the horizontal (X, Y) and optional vertical (Z) position of a pendulum wire, with a built-in datalogger for remote, unattended readings.

Overview
In detail
How it works
A CCD sensor optically tracks the relative position of a pendulum wire in the X and Y axes (Z optional), recording each reading with date and time to non-volatile RAM with capacity for 370 readings.
Remote reading
Two communication ports allow data to be transmitted to remote locations via an optional modem. Commands can be executed locally through a console port, or remotely over dedicated or switched telephone links across a communications network.
Installation
The instrument is housed in a compact, sturdy, weatherproof cabinet fitted with a slot that allows it to be installed without dismantling the pendulum system, whether standard or inverted.
Measurement
The instrument delivers ±0.05 mm precision with 7.5 µm resolution over a 50 x 50 x 25 mm measurement range.
