PISA-M In-Place MEMS Inclinometer
The PISA-M in-place MEMS inclinometer is a uniaxial or biaxial tilt transducer housed in a rugged, wheeled tube that runs inside standard inclinometer casing, providing continuous, unattended measurement of lateral displacement in soil, rock and structures.

In detail
How it works
A string of sensors is lowered into the inclinometer casing on wheels that keep it centred; each sensor reads one or two orthogonal tilt channels as a ±2.5 V differential output, plus a thermistor for temperature. Comparing vertical profiles built from the string over time reveals the deflection and rate of movement along the borehole.
Deployment
Two wiring configurations are available: a serial-sensor string, in which a single jumper cable connects the top of the string to the data logger, or a single-sensor configuration wiring each sensor individually to the logger for monitoring a discrete zone. The stainless steel housing (32 mm diameter) is waterproof to 2 MPa, and the sensor can be recovered and reused on other projects once monitoring ends.
What's included
Each sensor ships with cable for 3 m gauge lengths and fits 70 mm or 85 mm diameter casing. Serial-string capacity scales with jumper cable length: up to 50 sensors over 40 m, down to 10 sensors over 375 m.
