EchoPro SMA Accelerograph
The EchoPro SMA was an all-in-one strong motion accelerograph combining a MEMS accelerometer with an onboard recorder. It has been discontinued and replaced by the Gecko SMA, which carries over its core design.

How it works
EchoPro SMA combined a MEMS accelerometer with the reliability and simplicity of an all-in-one sensor-and-recorder unit, measuring motion in three dimensions (typically North-South, East-West and Up-Down). Continuous data was stored on a removable USB flash drive in one-minute files, organised into year/month/day/hour folders for easy browsing on any PC.
Installation
The unit was supplied on a mounting plate, bolted down and levelled using threaded feet, for mounting on the ground or a wall; a North indicator was included for orientation.
Connectivity
An optional LCD and keypad allowed configuration without a PC. Ethernet connectivity let the unit send data files to a remote PC, and data telemetry gave access to the eqAlert service, which sends SMS alerts when the SMA detects abnormal activity.
