Smart PT Pressure Temperature Sensor
The Smart PT is a ceramic-membrane pressure and temperature sensor from Stevens for submersible water-level measurement, available in vented (gauge) or absolute pressure versions. It provides SDI-12 and RS-485/Modbus digital outputs and automatically compensates for water temperature-density effects.

How it works
In addition to instantaneous pressure and temperature measurements, the sensor can capture peak crest levels and automatically sample and report basic statistics on a configurable time interval. The vented version's vent tube provides an atmospheric reference that compensates for variations in barometric pressure, and the sensor also corrects for local variations in Earth's gravitational field and for temperature-density effects on water.
Construction
A corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel housing and potted electronics make Smart PT durable and long-lasting for submersible applications. Cable length is specified to order.
Connectivity
Every Smart PT provides both SDI-12 and RS-485 digital interfaces (including Modbus RTU over RS-485), making it compatible with existing power and data-logging instruments for remote monitoring sites such as groundwater wells, surface water and industrial applications.
