SIS-1 Infrasound Sensor
The SIS-1 is Seismo Wave's compact, low-power infrasound sensor for portable setups, remote sites, or as an addition to seismic stations, and can be chained with other SIS-1 units on the same digitiser.
- Range
- ±995 Pa full scale
- Supply
- 3-20 VDC
- Frequency bandwidth
- 0.1-50 Hz (-3dB)

Overview
In detail
How it works
The SIS-1 provides a differential analogue output proportional to infrasound pressure, with a nominal sensitivity of 2.5-3.5 mV/Pa and self-noise below the Low Noise Model under 1Hz.
Deployment
Its compact, lightweight design and chainable connection let several SIS-1 sensors share a single digitiser, making it well suited to portable arrays or remote installations.
Power
The sensor runs from a wide 3-20VDC supply, drawing under 5mA at 12V, with reverse-polarity and over-voltage protection to 20V.
