DiTeSt SMARTprofile Sensor
The DiTeSt SMARTprofile is a combined distributed strain and temperature sensor for deformation and temperature monitoring over long distances, using BOTDR/BOTDA (Brillouin scattering) technology. It is suited to embedded or surface-mounted installation in a fully redundant configuration.
- Operating temperature
- -40 °C to +60 °C
- Strain range
- -1.5% to +1.5%
- Cable dimensions
- 8.0 mm × 4.0 mm

Overview
In detail
How it works
The sensor combines bonded and free single-mode fibers used for BOTDR/BOTDA strain and temperature measurement, embedded in a flat profile for high-accuracy distributed sensing over long cable runs.
Deployment
Designed for embedded or surface-mounted installation, with a fully redundant fiber configuration so measurement can continue if one fiber path is damaged.
Physical characteristics
Cable cross-section is approximately 8.0 mm × 4.0 mm and weighs about 22 kg/km, supplied on reels up to 700 m, with a minimum long-term bending radius of 400 mm and a hydrostatic pressure rating of 300 kPa.
