d-Cable Instrumented Cable
The d-CABLE is a Yieldpoint instrumented seven-wire cable bolt that uses a miniature inductive strain gauge recessed into a surrogate tubular king-wire to monitor how load develops along the length of a cable bolt, ground anchor or tieback.

Overview
In detail
How it works
A miniature inductive strain gauge is recessed into a surrogate tubular king-wire, with gauges configured to base lengths of 200mm to 2000mm. Once both ends of a gauge are secured, it measures how that length of cable stretches in response to load, helping to predict the risk of catastrophic structural failure and supporting installation quality control, long-term operation assessment and rehabilitation work.
Applications
Applicable to plain strands, bulb cables, ground anchors and tie-backs used in mining and civil projects, in both Head-at-Collar (HAC) and Head-at-Toe (HAT) configurations.
