Borehole Geophone
The Borehole Geophone is a waterproof mine-microseismic geophone available in uniaxial, biaxial or triaxial configurations, with low-frequency responses from 4.5Hz to 15Hz for exploration and block-cave monitoring networks, often paired with borehole accelerometers for wide dynamic range.

Overview
In detail
Design
Geophones are offered with 4.5Hz, 8Hz, 10Hz, 14Hz or 15Hz low-frequency sensors, in an aluminium body or PVC housing, with large bandwidth and high resistance to water ingress for high-pressure downhole applications. A high-temperature option is also available.
Applications
They're commonly used in exploration and mine microseismic monitoring, often combined with accelerometers for wide dynamic-range recording, and deployed as sensor networks around block-cave mining. Configurations can be uniaxial, biaxial or triaxial depending on the application.
