BluTilt
The BluTilt is a wireless triaxial tiltmeter from Yieldpoint that measures inclination changes over a full 360-degree range on each axis with 0.001-degree resolution. It mounts to beams or structures without needing precise levelling, and a borehole version (38mm OD) is also available.

In detail
How it works
BluTilt uses a low-noise MEMS accelerometer to measure inclination on three axes (X, Y, Z), each over a full 360-degree range, so the sensor doesn't need precise levelling on installation. Resolution is 0.001 arcdeg, with a stability of +/-0.001 arcdeg over a 24-hour test, repeatability of +/-0.003 arcdeg and non-linearity of +/-0.006 arcdeg. An onboard temperature sensor reads to +/-0.5C accuracy.
Based on the same low-noise MEMS accelerometer, BluTilt is also available in a dynamic-monitoring variant, BluShake.
Deployment
The instrument can be attached to a beam or mounted directly to a structure, and is also available in a borehole model with a 38mm OD. Power comes from an internal 5000mAh (3.3V) battery drawing around 4mAh/day at one reading per hour, or from replaceable 4 x AA alkaline or lithium cells. Enclosures are IP65 as standard, with an optional IP68 rating.
Connectivity
BluTilt connects wirelessly over Bluetooth 5 Coded PHY at 125kb/s, or via a wired RS485 option with transmission up to 500m over twisted pair.
