Overview
In detail
Types
TA type balloons are used for standard meteorological release, TX type balloons are built for higher-altitude flights, and AB type balloons are intended for display purposes. Sizes range from 20 g to 3000 g, with parachutes available as an accessory.
How it works
TOTEX uses a mould-rotation manufacturing process, developed in 1940, in which a mould containing the latex mixture is rotated to build up a multilayered, extremely thin and uniformly thick film. Every production lot is sampled at random and subjected to bursting tests prior to shipment as part of TOTEX's quality control process.
