TS-2600 Turbidity Sensor
The Greenspan 2600 is a miniature backscatter nephelometer that measures turbidity and suspended solids in water, responding linearly across more than three decades from potable water to sediment-laden rivers. Its lens-protection device maintains reading consistency and reduces cleaning-related maintenance.
- Range
- 0 to 100 NTU standard; 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 NTU also available
- Output
- 4-20 mA current loop (3-wire, 600 Ω max)
- Supply
- 10 to 15 V DC, unregulated

Overview
In detail
How it works
The 2600 uses an optical backscatter (nephelometer) measurement principle to detect turbidity and suspended solids, responding linearly from potable water up to sediment-laden rivers. A unique lens-protection device maintains reading consistency and reduces maintenance-related cleaning of the sensor.
Connectivity
The sensor outputs an analogue 4-20 mA current loop (3-wire, 600 ohms max) and runs from a 10-15 V unregulated supply, drawing around 500 mA (0.3 mAh per reading), with a response time of 2 seconds to full accuracy.
