SUV5 UV Radiometer
The SUV5 is a general-purpose UV irradiance sensor for meteorology, material testing, lamp monitoring and solar-simulator ageing tests. It offers a Modbus interface, amplified analogue output and temperature-corrected measurements for reliable all-weather monitoring of global UV irradiance.
- Supply
- 5 to 30 VDC
- Spectral range
- 280 to 400 nm
- Maximum UVA/UVB irradiance
- 400 W/m²

Overview
In detail
Measurement
The SUV5 covers the 280 to 400 nm spectral range with a response time under 1 second (95%) and a field of view of 180°. Temperature response is under 2%, directional response up to 80° is under 5 W/m2, and deviation from responsivity across 0-400 W/m2 irradiance change is under 1.5%. Maximum UVA/UVB irradiance is 400 W/m².
Connectivity
Digital output is via 2-wire RS-485 Modbus RTU. The -A/-V variants add an amplified analogue output of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 1 V. A wide, low power supply range of 5 to 30 VDC eases integration into meteorological and industrial systems.
The sensor is built to be extremely robust and is supplied with a 5-year warranty.
