Overview
In detail
How it works
The SUV series re-engineers the earlier SUV5 total-UV radiometer into dedicated UVA, UVB and UVE (UV Index) models, using the latest detector technology, digital signal processing and Modbus® output.
Measurement
UVA accounts for around 95% of the UV radiation that reaches the earth's surface. It penetrates clouds and glass windows and the skin's second layer, and is used, for example, in tanning beds; it contributes to some types of sun damage, wrinkles and premature skin ageing.
