PS-1000A Water Level Pressure Sensor
The Greenspan PS-1000A is an Australian-made, submersible pressure sensor that measures water pressure to deduce water level, giving a standard 4-20mA loop-powered output built to withstand harsh field conditions.
- Range
- Gauge: 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 40, 75, 100 m; Absolute: 20, 40, 75, 100 m
- Output
- 4-20mA or 0-2.5V DC
- Supply
- 8-30 V DC (loop powered)

Overview
In detail
How it works
The PS-1000A is submersed in a liquid, where a sensitive sensor measures water pressure and deduces the water level from the reading. It has a standard 2-wire, loop-powered, 4-20mA output, with an option for 0-2.5V DC. A durable, corrosion-resistant Acetal body, ceramic capacitance transducer, and double O-ring sealing suit it for harsh environments, from outback heat to freezing mountain conditions.
Upgrade path
The PS-1000A can be upgraded to a PS-1000L, which adds internal data logging via an RS-232 interface, with an optional SDI-12 adaptor for communication with other systems. Both sensors are assembled and tested in accordance with Greenspan's ISO 9001 Quality Certified System.
