PH-1000 pH Sensor
The Greenspan PH-1000A is an analogue water pH sensor with a field-replaceable, gel-filled glass electrode, designed and manufactured in Australia for continuous field deployment across fresh, waste and industrial water applications.
- Range
- 0-14 pH (4 mA = 0 pH, 20 mA = 14 pH)
- Output
- Analogue 4-20 mA
- Supply
- 11-13.2 V DC

Overview
In detail
How it works
The gel-filled glass electrode has an internal Ag/AgCl reference protected by a porous PTFE ring impregnated with conductive gel, which resists chemical and biological fouling and extends electrode life. The electrode is field replaceable without returning the sensor to the factory.
Connectivity
The sensor outputs a calibrated 4-20 mA analogue signal (4 mA = 0 pH, 20 mA = 14 pH) on 11-13.2 V DC power. An internal logger can be fitted, converting the unit to the PH-1000L model.
Deployment
The 47 mm outer diameter suits 2-inch boreholes. Applications include sewer monitoring, streams and rivers, lakes and urban waterways, catchment and forestry studies, water supply storage stratification, water and wastewater treatment, groundwater analysis, industrial and acid-sulphate process monitoring, and tidal, estuary and oceanographic monitoring.
