Overview
In detail
How it works
A white reflective outer layer paired with non-reflective black inner louvres blocks sunlight and reflected radiation from reaching sensors or thermometers, while the double-louvred construction still allows air to flow freely across them. Independent testing shows errors less than half those of wooden Stevenson screens under high solar radiation and low wind, performing comparably to aspirated shields.
Construction
The frame is aluminium with a durable white powder coating; the louvres are double-louvred, high-impact, UV-stable thermoplastic, white on the outside and black inside. Hardware is A4 (316) grade stainless steel throughout, and the roof and floor are high-impact, UV-stable material.
Access and mounting
Doors are padlockable at both front and rear and hinge downward for easy access to instruments. Shelters mount easily onto metal support structures and are available in a wide range of sizes, including one- and two-door versions and larger screens.
