Meteon Data Logger
METEON is a handheld data logger from Kipp & Zonen used with a passive (non-powered) radiometer, such as a CMP pyranometer, to display and record solar irradiance measurements in the field.
- Accuracy
- ±0.1% (0.1 W/m2)
- Sampling rate
- 2 readings/second
- Memory
- up to 3500 samples

Overview
In detail
How it works
METEON takes a reading twice per second through a single bi-polar 16-bit analog input accepting 6.25–200 mV, and displays real-time solar irradiance in W/m2 or PAR in µmol/m2.s on a 4-digit display. It is compatible with CMP pyranometers, CM4, SP Lite2, NR Lite2, CUV5 and PQS1 sensors.
Data logging
Logging interval is user-selectable, storing up to 3500 samples in non-volatile memory that survives power loss or a battery change. Data can be downloaded while the logger continues recording, and the bundled software plots average irradiance graphically or exports to spreadsheets.
What's included
METEON ships in a carrying case with 2 x AA alkaline batteries (up to 50 days of continuous logging), a USB interface cable and configuration software. It can also be supplied pre-configured as a package with a radiometer, ready to use out of the box.
