Lufft WS601 Compact Weather Sensor
The Lufft WS601 is an all-in-one compact weather sensor measuring air temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, wind speed/direction, and precipitation via a top-mounted tipping-bucket rain gauge.

Overview
In detail
How it works
The WS601 combines temperature, humidity, air pressure, ultrasonic wind speed/direction and precipitation sensing behind an aspirated, heated radiation shield, giving WMO-compliant accuracy with no moving parts other than the tipping-bucket gauge. Data processing is built in, and the sensor is rated -50 to +60°C for use in all climates. It is compliant to IEC 61724-1:2017.
Precipitation measurement
The tipping-bucket gauge resolves 0.2 mm per tip up to a maximum intensity of 144 mm/h; fitted with the optional reduction ring, resolution changes to 0.5 mm per tip with a maximum intensity of 360 mm/h. Accuracy is ±2% in both configurations.
Connectivity
Ships standard with RS485 Modbus communications; SDI-12 is available on request at time of order. The open protocol (UMB-Binary, UMB-ASCII, Modbus-RTU/ASCII, XDR, SDI-12) is compatible with most commercial Met/HydroMet dataloggers and PLC systems.
