Lufft WS510 Compact Weather Station
The Lufft WS510 is a research-grade compact weather station measuring air temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, wind speed/direction, solar irradiance via a Kipp & Zonen CMP10 secondary-standard pyranometer, and orientation via an integrated compass.

How it works
The WS510 combines temperature, humidity, air pressure, ultrasonic wind speed/direction and solar irradiance sensing behind an aspirated, heated radiation shield, giving WMO-compliant accuracy with no moving parts. Data processing is built in, and the sensor is rated -50 to +60°C for use in all climates.
Solar measurement
A Kipp & Zonen CMP10 pyranometer provides secondary-standard solar irradiance measurement up to 4000 W/m² across a 285-2800 nm spectral range, with response time under 5 seconds and directional error below 0.2% at 1000 W/m².
Connectivity
Ships standard with RS485 Modbus communications; SDI-12 is available on request at time of order. The open protocol (UMB-Binary, UMB-ASCII, Modbus-RTU/ASCII, XDR, SDI-12) is compatible with most commercial Met/HydroMet dataloggers and PLC systems.
