DO-1000L Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor
The Greenspan DO-1000L is a self-contained logging dissolved oxygen sensor with an internal data logger, designed for long-term deployment in fresh, marine or high-sediment waterways including 2 inch boreholes. It can run on onboard batteries for up to 6 months without external power.

How it works
The DO-1000L uses an oxygen fluorescence detection method to measure dissolved oxygen. Measurements are recorded by an internal, non-volatile battery-backed data logger with real-time clock, with data retrieved using SensorMate software in graphical or tabular form, exportable to spreadsheet format. Memory capacity is 4 Mb (typically 250,000 readings, or over 12 months at 5-minute intervals).
Deployment
The sensor is built for active waters, including acidic or salty conditions, and is suited to marine applications and waterways with high sediment loads. Its robust, minimal-maintenance design reduces the need for servicing visits. It can be powered by an 8 to 30 V DC supply or an onboard battery pack, and draws under 0.2 mA on sleep, 20 mA while logging and 30 mA while communicating.
Connectivity
Data is read out via the internal logger's serial connection, or via an optional SDI-12 adaptor (3-wire) for integration with a data logger or controller. Telemetry options include mobile phone, radio and satellite, with Modbus RTU/ASCII and RS232/RS485/422 output available.
