Instrument Screens for Offshore
MetSpec instrument screens are UV-stable plastic shelters that protect thermometers, hygrometers and other meteorological instruments from solar radiation, rain and snow, in sizes ranging from a compact mini screen to a purpose-built offshore rig shelter.

Overview
In detail
MET 14 Mini Screen
Houses ordinary thermometers and other small instruments for measuring dry and wet bulb temperatures, protecting them from solar heating and direct exposure to rain and snow. It has a strong UPVC roof with base air spaces for ventilation, and one padlockable door that hinges downwards. It is large enough for a max/min thermometer or hygrometer plus another single-stem thermometer, with a rigid internal support rail for mounting instruments.
MET 11 Marine Screen
A larger shipboard screen designed to house ordinary thermometers for dry and wet bulb measurements, and small electrical resistance thermometers if required, with the same protection from solar radiation, rain and snow.
MET 02 Offshore Instrument Shelter
Designed specifically for weather monitoring on oil rigs and drilling platforms.
Features
All screens use industry-standard housing in chemical-resistant, UV-stable plastic, with improved protection against extreme winds and secure, stable sensor mounting. They are suitable for use with intrinsically safe equipment and include a location for an external static pressure head where required. Like all MetSpec screens, maintenance is limited to routine cleaning.
