Overview
In detail
How it works
The BluLog adds wireless functionality and data logging to HID38 or HID76 digital stress sensors, storing up to 30,000 readings. It can be run as a standalone logger downloaded via any Android device, or as part of a wireless sensor network reporting data in real time. A Bluetooth 5 solution typically costs comparable to or less than an equivalent wired setup, avoiding lead-wire runs and multiple wired data loggers.
Power
The logger runs from two user-replaceable internal lithium batteries, lasting more than two years at a logging rate of one reading per hour.
Connectivity
Instruments are managed from an Android device using the BluPoint app. For networked deployments, a Gateway device (LTE-M or WiFi Ethernet LAN) can be added to report data remotely.
Applications
Used to collect triaxial (3D) stress magnitude and orientation data for rock and concrete stress monitoring in civil tunnelling, storage caverns and underground excavation, coal and metalliferous mining, and civil structures such as tunnels, dams or bridges — including long-term pillar stress and tunnel closure/deformation monitoring.
