How it works
eTelecast receives pre-processed geostationary data from communications satellites via multiple antenna and receiver options, supporting both Ku-Band and C-Band DVB and DVB-S2 transmissions. It is suited to different dissemination services, geographical locations and service requirements.
Data sources
The ground station is compatible with EUMETCast, GEONETCast, HIMAWARI-Cast and CMA-Cast rebroadcast services.
Software and output
eTelecast integrates with ESS's Proteus visualization and analysis software and provides a wide variety of standard data interchange output formats, including GeoTIFF, JPEG, netCDF and HDF5.
Delivery
eTelecast is supplied as a turnkey system: manufacturing and engineering, installation and training are all provided, with all hardware and software required to collate and analyse rebroadcast meteorological data.
