CPR-6 Water Level Indicator
The CPR-6 is a light, compact water level indicator that measures the depth of water in boreholes, standpipes and wells by lowering a probe on a graduated tape until visual and audible signals confirm contact with water.
- Range
- Up to 150 m (30, 50, 100 or 150 m tape lengths available; imperial 100, 300 or 500 ft)
- Supply
- 9V alkaline battery
- Probe diameter
- 14.3 mm

Overview
In detail
How it works
The unit consists of a tape reel, a graduated tape, a control panel and a probe. When the probe touches water a circuit is completed, lighting an indicator and sounding a buzzer on the control panel; the water depth is then read directly from the graduations on the tape. Sensitivity is adjustable for water of varying conductivity, and a battery test button is built in.
What's included
The probe is 14.3 mm in diameter, 225 mm long and made of stainless steel, nylon and brass. The graduated tape is epoxy-coated steel with a polyethylene jacket, 11 mm wide, marked every 1 mm (or 0.01 ft on imperial models). Tape lengths of 30, 50, 100 or 150 m (or 100, 300 or 500 ft) are available, wound on a small reel (100 m capacity) or large reel (150 m capacity).
