CMP3 Pyranometer
The CMP3 is Kipp & Zonen's entry-level thermopile pyranometer, delivering ISO 9060 Class C accuracy for routine indoor and outdoor solar irradiance measurement.
- Output
- 5 to 20 µV/W/m²
- Spectral range (50% points)
- 300 to 2800 nm
- Response time
- 18 s

Overview
In detail
How it works
Based on the same thermopile design as the commercial-grade CMP10/11 but at a budget price, the CMP3 uses a quartz dome with a 180° field of view for measuring global horizontal irradiance (GHI). No power is required — it produces an output of 0-20 mV proportional to the solar irradiance received.
What's included
Common accessories include the AMPBOX signal amplifier, a ventilation unit, unventilated or ventilated mounting plates (single or albedometer pairs), mounting brackets, a shadow ring for diffuse-radiation measurement, an adjustable tilt kit, and signal cables in 10, 25, 50 and 100 m lengths.
