CMP10 Pyranometer
The CMP10 is a Kipp & Zonen ISO 9060 Class A secondary-standard pyranometer used for measuring solar irradiance on solar farms and in meteorological research.
- Output
- 7 to 14 µV/W/m²
- Spectral range (50% points)
- 285 to 2800 nm
- Response time
- < 5 s

Overview
In detail
How it works
CMP10 uses a thermopile sensor to provide accurate, stable solar irradiance measurement year after year, with a 180° field of view for full-hemisphere global horizontal irradiance (GHI). It requires no power, instead supplying a low voltage of 0-20 mV proportional to incoming radiation; the AMPBOX accessory boosts this to a higher voltage or 4-20 mA signal where required.
Deployment
Based on the same technology as the CMP11, the CMP10's drying cartridge is housed inside the sealed body for better moisture protection and needs replacing only every 10 years. The serial (Modbus RS485) equivalent is the SMP10.
What's included
Common accessories include the AMPBOX signal amplifier, a ventilation unit to prevent dew, dust, frost and snow build-up, unventilated or ventilated mounting plates (single or albedometer pairs), mounting brackets, a shadow ring for diffuse-radiation measurement, an adjustable tilt kit for Plane of Array studies, and signal cables in 10, 25, 50 and 100 m lengths.
