Groundview 500 Borehole Camera
The Groundview 500 is a pan-and-tilt full-HD downhole and shaft inspection camera from ESS, built for inspecting wells, bores, groundwater boreholes, mine shafts and open water, with a standard 500m cable and depth/temperature sensing built in.

Overview
In detail
Camera
The camera head pans and tilts and records in full HD, is fully waterproof, and overlays live water depth and temperature readings on the video feed. An inbuilt pressure sensor measures the pressure head, and focus and LED intensity are adjustable from the control module, which can capture video to USB.
Cable and winch
The system ships with a 500m cable as standard, with shorter custom lengths available to save weight and cost, and up to 7km of cable available on special order. The winch drives forward and retract motion with variable speed control, and an onscreen depth counter tracks cable payout. The cable itself is double-shielded, high-tensile, anti-corrosive and anti-wear, with professional-grade watertight connectors and a proprietary long-distance transmission protocol over a two-core cable.
Control module
An all-in-one control module provides an LCD display, microphone and full keyboard, runs on battery or mains power, and can be set to multiple languages.
