AirShield DNI is a soiling-prevention system for Kipp & Zonen CHP1 and SHP1 pyrheliometers, blowing a constant filtered-air barrier across the sensor window to keep dust and dirt off and extend cleaning intervals.

How it works
A high-performance air blower drives double-filtered compressed air through a flexible, highly UV-resistant hose to an injector head that creates an air barrier in front of the sensor, preventing dust and dirt from settling on the pyrheliometer window.
Deployment
The system increases long-term accuracy of sensor readings and reduces cleaning frequency requirements. It can run on either AC power or solar power, and the central unit houses two air filters with a combined filter surface of more than 1 m².
